Party Track is written as client/server software with programs such as order
entry and accounts receivable running on desktop computers and a database
program running on a network server. Party Track can also be run on a single
computer.
Party Track will run using computer equipment available from local retail stores
such as Best Buy & Circuit City or from online retailers such as HP & Dell.
The following diagram is a sample setup of a network configured with Party
Track software.

Desktop
Specification
The desktop computer must run the Windows operating system and all versions of
Windows are supported including Windows 7. The PC should have
2GB of RAM (3GB or 4GB if using Windows Vista or Windows 7). The monitor should be at least a 17" monitor and if you are
purchasing new equipment you may want to consider 19" widescreen monitors.
As we enhance our software we are new designing to best fit on 19" widescreen
monitors.
Party Track can support multiple users without the need to install a separate
server. The computers can be connected together in what's called a
peer-to-peer configuration (multiple computers connected to a hub). This
configuration is okay for a limited number of users (2-3).
Server
Specification
The server if needed (3+ users) should run a Windows server operating system.
We recommend using
Windows Server 2003 or Windows Server 2008. The server should have a minimum of
4GB of RAM.
Printer
Specification
The printer(s) used with Party Track can vary depending on your specific needs.
We support laser and inkjet printing to most brands of printers. If
Windows supports printing to the printers, they should work with Party Track.
We also support printing to Dot Matrix printers for multi-part pre-printed
forms. |
